Respiratory Care, AAS
The Respiratory Care Program prepares graduates with demonstrated competence in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains of respiratory care practice as performed by registered respiratory therapists (RRTs). While in the program, students will learn through lecture, hands on training, and clinical practice how to assess, treat, and manage patients of all ages experiencing respiratory compromise. By passing the National Board of Respiratory Care's (NBRC) Clinical Simulation and Multiple Choice Exam, students achieve the base licensure to enter the field, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
90 credits (prerequisites: 23 credits)
note - 8 credits of prerequisites are applied to equal 90 credits total
