RC 110L Respiratory Care Skills Lab

This course will provide hands-on training in the use of medical gasses, humidity and aerosol therapy, medication delivery, breathing techniques, chest physiotherapy, bronchial hygiene, and emergency resuscitation techniques.

Course Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
1. Use oxygen cylinders, oxygen analyzers, and gas mixing techniques
2. Distinguish between oxygen delivery devices and classify them according to their specifications
3. Use of gas humidification systems and aerosol generators
4. Deliver aerosolized medications
5. Monitor patients using noninvasive pulse oximetry
6. Apply techniques in lung hyperinflation maneuvers using incentive spirometry and breathing exercises
7. Administer bronchial hygiene therapies using different modalities
8. Demonstrate emergency airway management techniques
