Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: 1. Identify and describe in writing, the principal and secondary uses, advantages and disadvantages, chemical and mechanical properties of each dental material studied 2. Prepare each material in a manner demonstrates its normal setting time, strength, and durability 3. Demonstrates the operation of lab equipment properly, safely, and efficiently 4. Perform all laboratory skills assigned with 80% accuracy 5. Select the correct equipment to accurately manipulate each dental material 6. Follow established safety procedures and OSHA guidelines when working in the laboratory setting
