XSKM 0500A Skill Dev: Pre-Fund. of Math

Students in this course develop basic numeracy skills and strategies needed for solving basic mathematical problems in the real world. Work at this level focuses on counting, number sense and base 10 operations, including place value and addition/subtraction. The concept of variables, equations, and equal signs are introduced, as are basic geometry concepts such as symmetry and linear measurement. This is a good option for students who need individualized support and instruction and basic numeracy skills.
