Introduction to Manufacturing and Welding (Wire Welding), Certificate of Completion

This certificate encompasses 3 fields of manufacturing that are increasingly needed in a single shop. Manual machining, CNC machine operation, and wire driven welding. For many industries like lumber all three skills are needed. This certificate will give students an introduction to all three skills. MFG 101 will teach basic manual machining skills, CNC 101/111 will teach CNC machine operation (CNC101 is open to all students on campus while CNC111 is for full time CNC students). WLD 143/154 will teach the skills needed to begin wire welding. This will give students an introduction to the skills, and allow them to continue to hone those skills through Lane’s larger certificates and degree options.
