A PASS Lane "Integrated Skills class" is a course that focuses on the academic preparation and skill development needed to be successful in a specific CTE course. This course is specifically designed for English Language Learners and includes grammar, vocabulary and communication for those whom English is not their first Language. Curriculum is aligned with the associated, concurrent and/or future, CTE course. Various sections of integrated skills courses will be offered based on specific CTE content. Integrated skills classes are used as part of various PASS Lane options including: Exploration, Bridge, or Pathway Certificate.

Course Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
1. Actively and receptively utilize both spoken and written CTE content area-related vocabulary necessary to be successful in CTE career training or specific aligned CTE course
2. Employ study skills and learning strategies necessary to be successful in their area of CTE training
3. Navigate and use digital platforms and/or digital tools as required by their specific CTE area or course
4. Communicate in spoken and written English to the extent required to be successful in the entry level CTE course
