XCP 0810 CTE Bridge

This course is designed for students who believe they have identified a career path, but would like to do more research on the career field of choice prior to making a full commitment. Students will be asked to "interact" with the career choice through various methods, research cost, prerequisites, and length of study for their programs. Students will also research expected income and evaluate how this program fits into their future plans. Students will assess their own readiness for the programs based on academic assessments, identification of barriers, and development of a plan to overcome these barriers.

1. Explore and gain exposure to specific CTE area. Students will learn to use career research tools
2. Learn to how to research cost, length of time, and value of CTE programs
3. Assess their own readiness and identify barriers and strategies to overcome barriers
