Video Production 2 focuses on video editing and provides a first look at motion graphics while also giving students a chance practice the audio techniques they learned in the Audio Production course.

Course Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

1. Define terminology relating to video production including pre-production, production, and post-production

2. Utilize media and file management best practices

3. Develop pre-production materials through visual storytelling, planning, budgeting and scheduling

4. Operate camera and audio equipment in the field to execute productions

5. Edit interviews, b-roll, music, narration, sound effects, and graphics for post-production in a non-linear edit timeline

6. Maintain video and audio signal quality control in the computer edit system

7. Express the importance of pace and timing in computer video editing
