MUL 151 Video Production 1

Video Production 1 focuses on field production (camera, audio, lighting, camera rigs). Students learn to produce cinematic, high resolution shots for a variety of projects.

ART 126, MUL 103, MUL 120 (may be taken as a corequisite), and FA 250

Course Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

1. Prepare video equipment for a shoot including setting up camera body, lens, peripherals, tripod, and formatting media cards

2. Adjust camera settings including video format, shutter, aperture, frame rate, ISO and white balance

3. Collaborate within a given role and set of responsibilities as a crew member

4. Apply theory and concepts of video, audio and lighting

5. Model the best practice skills of electronic field production including: camera operation, sound recording and basic lighting
