MUL 101 Introduction to Media Arts

Introduction to Media Arts provides an overview of the Media Arts program as well as insight into what careers the program can lead to. Students will learn the expectations of the program and courses and what resources are available to afford them a greater chance of success in the program and the field.

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: 
1. Describe the range of coursework and skill sets that are a part of the Multimedia Design curriculum and potential employment areas.
2. Communicate the importance of meeting professional expectations in the field of Media Arts, including time management, file organization, and industry-standard workflow
3. Locate and use college resources in order to navigate college processes
4. Work collaboratively within the structures and processes of a production environment
5. Solve problems independently by seeking information and solutions proactively
6. Propose projects that outline necessary hardware and software for a variety of media approaches
