BT 230 Digital Office

This course exposes students to a variety of digital tools (Adobe Acrobat, Teams, Outlook, OneNote, One Drive, Google Drive, among others) that will help them be adept at digital work and production. The course also focuses on digital collaboration. Students will learn how to successfully navigate virtual meetings and teams as well as how to manage digital documents both of their own and those that are shared with others. Online course requires a 1-hour weekly synchronous digital group meeting (meeting time set based on your time availability given in Week 1).

Course Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
1. Participate in virtual teams using current digital tools
2. Identify key principles of digital document and information management practices
3. Create business forms for a variety of uses using appropriate software
4. Communicate via email and in online meetings with appropriate business etiquette
5. Manage digital files (including sharing, scheduling, assigning, monitoring and editing) using cloud-based software
6. Create flowcharts using digital applications
7. Collaborate to create and present information in an online environment
