BA 281 Personal Finance

As a comprehensive introduction to personal finance, the course covers budgets, personal banking, consumer credit, insurance, investing, stocks, bonds, retirement planning, and paying for college, and an introduction to personal income taxes. Analytical tools are applied to optimize personal decision making.

2. Evaluate savings plans, employer-provided retirement plans, and alternative investment strategies, and how they prepare you for retirement

4. Explain credit, debt, and factors that determine creditworthiness 
5. Evaluate the financial implications of purchasing a home, insurance, asset protection strategies, and taxation
