Course Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
1. Model the flow of information: the flow from genetic information (DNA) to phenotype (physical traits)
2. Describe and give evidence for the cellular and molecular mechanisms of evolution
3. Apply concepts of Biology and Chemistry to model the metabolic pathways
4. Diagram/Model a cell and explain the role of the major components of the cell, including how the components work together for cell function and replication
5. Predict patterns of inheritance and identify sources of genetic variation
