XSKS 0517D GED: Science/Soc Sci

In this GED preparation class, students learn and practice strategies that will improve reading comprehension in the social studies and science content areas, including reading closely in order to identify and evaluate readings to understand, interpret, and apply information; and test-taking strategies using graphs, charts, etc. in order to analyze and evaluate information.

Course Learning Outcomes

Students will gain the critical reading and writing skills and knowledge adults must have for success in college, technical training, and careers. Courses provide comprehensive instruction in GED Social Studies and Science specifically identifying what adults need to know to be prepared for postsecondary education, training, and employment. This includes completion of high school equivalency, the GED, and preparation for entering postsecondary education and/or employment.
