Bridge to College Success supports adult learners in making a successful transition from Adult Basic Skills Education (ABSE) into credit-level coursework. Students build practical college navigation skills, make meaningful connections with LCC resources and support services, and develop a genuine sense of belonging on campus.

Course entry requires co-enrollment in College Success Reading and Writing 2 (CSRW2) or instructor approval.

Course Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
1. Engage with college systems: Closely read and evaluate college information to make informed choices about enrollment, advising, and student supports
2. Access resources: Identify and use tutoring, advising, financial aid, and support services that promote success and well-being
3. Strengthen academic readiness: Apply metacognitive strategies and success behaviors that prepare them for credit-level coursework
4. Build belonging: Develop connections with peers, faculty, and college communities that support persistence and resilience
5. Create a Success Plan: Integrate their learning into a practical plan for their first year in college
