XSKD 05005 Skill Dev: Downtown Multi

This course is designed to help students develop the academic skills needed for passing the GED tests and/or the college placement tests, increase employability skills, or any other personal goals a student may have. Students will prepare through the study and practice of reading comprehension strategies, vocabulary development activities, math mastery exercises, and writing development practice.

Course Learning Outcomes

Students will gain the critical reading, writing, and math skills and knowledge adults must have for success in college, technical training, and careers. Courses provide comprehensive instruction in English language arts/literacy and mathematics, specifically identifying what adults need to know to be prepared for postsecondary education, training, and employment.
