XCG 0792 Volunteer Training

This course is designed to train volunteers in a variety of tasks needed to successfully provide services to organizations with a specific emphasis on nonprofits and civic organizations. Sample agencies include public health departments, state hospitals, Red Cross, and Salvation Army. The focus of the course will be on improved skill sets pertaining directly to volunteer positions in addition to leadership, communication, and self-advocacy when working in a volunteer position. The course will include the knowledge and skills needed to successfully serve on a non-profit board.

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
