HE 225 Social Determinants of Health

This course examines how social, economic, and political factors influence health outcomes and perpetuate inequities. Through case studies and critical analysis, students will explore how discriminatory ideologies and practices are embedded in society, contributing to persistent health disparities. The course applies selected models to illustrate the complex interplay between individual, interpersonal, organizational, community, and societal factors.
