GIS 249 Remote Sensing

This course focuses on analyzing remotely sensed data. Basic concepts will cover data acquisition, surface modeling, and creating mosaic imagery datasets through social and environmental analysis.

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

1. Acquire project-appropriate remotely sensed data

2. Analyze data trends in social and environmental phenomena from remotely sensed data

3. Design detailed cartographic products

4. Create complex datasets containing multiple types of data

5. Explain ways that errors may be introduced to geospatial datasets
