This class provides an introduction to the robot and its capabilities and explores the various tasks that robots are programmed to perform.

Course Learning Outcomes

Upon Successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

1. Relate new concepts to prior knowledge of programmable controllers
2. Build an Automated Process Control System
3. Utilize Ethernet communications in a manufacturing process
4. Use programming and monitoring tools for Allen Bradley programmable controller software
5. Program basic and complex ladder logic instructions
6. Interface a motor frequency drive with a programmable controller
